Sora Baker, was a little girl that I met who changed my life forever. Sora lost her battle with cystic fibrosis last summer , at the very young age of 11. In her short time with her wonderful family, and the people she met, she made a world of difference. She was so strong, and brave, despite her obstacles, and made me and many others realize, just how much we need to be thankful for. Strength and a smile comes from within, you choose to be happy, because life is a fleeting moment. There's always a reason to smile. In the spirit of bringing out that smile, even when it feels like there can't be a reason, I wanted to give back.
If you or anyone you know has a family member that is battling cancer or any other debilitating disease, is a cancer survivor, a returning member of the military, has a member of the family that is about to be deployed, or for any cause - please contact me. I love to do work to give something to those that could use a smile, for no charge.
Landmark School, McHenry IL 2015
One of my latest giving back projects was with Landmark School here in Mchenry. I worked with the school to create images to raffle at their yearly fundraiser in order to raise money for the school. Parents were surprised at the event with the final product, framed and ready to be raffled off. Parents were also able to purchase digital copies of the image to raise more funds!
